Does GVocab have a free plan?
Yes. GVocab has a free plan so you can get started; Premium plans unlock additional study sets, limits, and advanced features. You can view the plan details inside the app.
Do I need to create an account to use it?
No. Just open the app and start learning right away - no sign-up or login needed. All your learning progress is saved directly on the phone or computer you're using.
Where is my learning data stored - will I lose it if I uninstall the app?
Your data is stored right on your device, never uploaded anywhere. If you're worried about losing it when switching devices or uninstalling, you can use the Backup & Restore feature to save everything to a file and restore it anytime.
How does the AI reading/writing feature work, and does it cost anything?
This feature uses Google's AI (Gemini) to generate reading passages and writing prompts at your level, and to grade your work. Usage is counted against the AI credits included with your plan; you can check your remaining credits in the app.
Which languages does GVocab support?
Currently English, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese, each with its own vocabulary sets and exercises - with more languages coming soon.
